Pizza and Pasta at Franco’s Rockwell

Franco's in Rockwell has a very homey feel (with excellent lighting). Walls were bedecked with books and toys for the boys. It would not be far-out to guess that the restaurant was dedicated to the owner's son.

So what do we have here?
Among the restaurants in Rockwell, Franco's was where we decided to meet our three-weeks staying friends from Taiwan. Taiwanese are generally health-conscious so we skipped the rice and went for pizza, pasta and more.

Expensive, ha!
For starters, had Gambas at Php 250 and Angus Beef Sisig at Php 175. Our Taiwanese guests seem to love the Gambas but of course, it was Angus Beef Sisig that stole my heart. It was great and creamy! One of those I can map out as one of the best sisig in town. But then again, we're talking Angus here. Maybe, too it was Angus so the serving size was just a fistful.

Spicy but good!

Hey, Angus! What ya doin' there?
Salads were also in for them and had House Salad at Php 160. This was a thumbs-up choice for aside from greens, it has corn kernels, sliced tomatoes and grapes. Enjoyed so much the different flavors every bite bring.

Healthy is fun!
For pizza, had Barcelona: chorizo with cheese and caramelized onions at Php 250 and
Garlic shrimp with anchovies and arugula at Php 280. Both are thinly-sliced our Taiwanese guests even asked, "Are your pizza here really this thin?". Though thinner than what we're used to, it's very crunchy. Plus, it's easier to taste its flavor. Down-side was, it took more slices to be full. I like Barcelona better but the latter was happiness, too.

Wow, personalized
Amatriciana at Php 225 reigned our plates for pasta. It was so delicious and very cheesy. I enjoyed the play of the olives and tomatoes, too. Too bad that the serving size wasn't that big. I don't know how the bread on top's called but it's also a nice substitute for the usual garlic bread.

Amatriciana, I love you!
My taste buds had a blast at Franco's. With a little more serving from their part, I'd be glad to go back and forth here.
